The construction of the first plant for Caustic Soda, Sodium Hypochlorite, and Hydrochloric Acid production in Angola has begun, covering an area of approximately 5,000 m². The facility will have the capacity to produce 12 tons/day of Caustic Soda, 66 tons/day of Sodium Hypochlorite, and 25 tons/day of Hydrochloric Acid, using only salt, water, and electricity as inputs. The project, the first of its kind in Angola, aims to reduce dependence on imports, promote economic diversification, and create 32 direct jobs, while also providing training for national technical staff. The products manufactured will have a positive impact on public health, water treatment, and the detergent, mining, petroleum, and metallurgical industries, ensuring a stable supply to key sectors and strengthening the country’s industrial autonomy.
