One of the largest Fish Processing and Freezing Projects in Angola is currently underway, fully developed by Novanor.<\/p>\n\n
The fish will be caught using four 23.90-meter purse seiner vessels and two 14.90-meter multipurpose vessels, supported by a 5,000 m\u00b2 industrial unit built on a plot of approximately 30,000 m\u00b2.<\/p>\n\n
The freezing of pelagic fish is carried out using the most advanced technology to ensure premium quality, through 3 Automatic Spiral Freezing Tunnels with a capacity of over 200 tons per day. This facility will also have the capability to process, preserve, and freeze all types of large fish, with a frozen fish storage capacity of over 1,000 tons.<\/p>\n\n
This project represents the continuation of Angolan investment in the fisheries sector, a key area for the national economy and food security, given that fish is the main source of protein produced in Angola and plays a vital role in the population\u2019s nutrition. Designed with the most modern and technologically advanced equipment and processes, it ensures continuous year-round production thanks to its versatile capacity to process both pelagic and demersal species. It thus contributes to the advancement of national business development policies, particularly the PRODESI program.<\/p>\n\n
The Industrial Unit is expected to create 203 direct and permanent jobs, of which 197 will be filled by local workers.
